For a great anytime snack I like to make Microgreen Cream Cheese Crackers.
I like to use Toll House Focaccia Tuscan Cheese Crackers with Philadelphia Chive and Onion Cream Cheese, but you can use any crackers and cream cheese that you like. The recipe is simple. Take a cracker add the cream cheese of choice and then sprinkle a generous topping of your favorite Microgreens. I prefer a Colorful Radish Mixed microgreens that explodes with that tangy radish flavor. It mixes well with the chive and onion flavors to give you a burst of flavor and adds a generous amount of nutrition.
The radishes come from the Brassicaceae family. Radish’s scientific name is “Raphanus Sativus”. The variety varies usually based on the season of the year. You have Spring Radishes, Summer Radishes, and Winter Radishes. Luckily if you like microgreens the season is not important as you can grow whichever variety you want at any time of the year.
Of course, you can use any kind of microgreens you want.
Microgreens are great in taste and provide a plethora of health benefits to boot. If you can think of a way to eat vegetables, you can probably adapt it to using microgreens as well.
Thanks, and Happy Eating!
